Experience wine tasting at its finest, and enjoy the beauty of sleepers vineyard Kekerengu and the unique single vineyard wines. The perfect gift for someone who loves surprises and passion, our Kekerengu wine tasting experience is available for $160 per person, lasting 3 hours.
Rekindle your love of wine at our Sleepers Vineyard, where you'll enjoy a tasting filled with passion, crystal glasses, and the gentle glow of over 50 candles in our historic 1860 grand cob hall, creating plenty of Insta-worthy moments just for you.
During the tasting, sample exquisite wines like Sleepers 2016 & 2019 Tempranillo, our Spanish Queen, along with the 2018 & 2023 Pinot Grigio, and the Astrolabe Kekerengu Coast Sauvignon Blanc — all embodying the pure Kekerengu style. These delightful wines are paired with different cheeses and popcorn. We then take a scenic drive into the vineyard, where you'll witness the enchanting beauty of Sleepers Vineyard and learn how sunlight, soil, and vines contribute to exceptional wine production. We’ll conclude with a fun discussion about whether glasses and decanters truly matter.

Welcome
We want you to have a great time with us at Sleepers Vineyard, but we do have a few rules that we always enforce during your visit to our cellar door wine sales.
1. Our cellar door provides wine for tasting only, and visitors may purchase wine for consumption off the premises. We also offer water to accompany your Kekerengu wine tasting experience.
2. It is against the law to serve minors. If we have any doubt about your age, we will ask for ID. Acceptable forms of proof of age include a current NZ driver's licence, HNZ 18+ card, or a current Passport.
3. We will not serve alcohol to people who are visibly intoxicated, and we encourage guests to have a designated driver. A phone is available should you need to arrange alternative transport.
We ensure these services are well promoted and will display the necessary signage as required under The Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. Additionally, we maintain a training and management policy to ensure our staff has the skills and support needed to conduct our services responsibly.
